Legal Access 868 ("we", "us", "the service") is an AI-powered legal information platform for Trinidad & Tobago. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of this website and everything offered on it. By using the service you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service provides general legal information: free AI question-and-answer, paid written briefs, articles, checklists, and referrals to resources such as the Legal Aid & Advisory Authority. The service is not a law firm, does not practise law, does not give legal advice, and your use of it does not create an attorney–client relationship. See our Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.
Content is generated with the help of artificial intelligence and can contain errors. You agree to verify important matters with a qualified attorney before acting, and not to treat any output of the service as advice on your specific case.
Paid briefs are described, priced (in TT$), and delivered as stated on the brief page at the time of purchase. A brief contains general information about the law that commonly applies to situations like the one you describe; it is not an opinion on your case. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers — we do not store your full card details. If we cannot deliver a brief you have paid for, we will refund the purchase. Other refund requests are assessed case by case through the contact page.
You agree not to: use the service for unlawful purposes; submit content you have no right to share; attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service; resell or republish service output as legal advice; or use the service where professional advice is plainly required (for example, in an emergency or active court deadline) without also consulting an attorney.
You keep ownership of the questions and information you submit. You grant us a licence to process them (including via third-party AI providers) to operate, deliver, and improve the service. Do not include personal details that are not needed to answer your question — see our Privacy Policy.
The website, its design, text, graphics, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Legal Access 868 and protected by law. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes; any other use requires our written permission.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by the law of Trinidad & Tobago, we exclude liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the product giving rise to the claim (or TT$100 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of the service.
We may suspend or end access to the service (or any feature) at any time, including for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 7–9) survive.
We may update the service and these Terms. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version; continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the law of Trinidad & Tobago, and the courts of Trinidad & Tobago have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes connected to them.
If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Questions? Reach us through the contact page.
